Google is experimenting with side-scrolling clipboard suggestions in Gboard.

One of Gboard's most useful features is its built-in clipboard manager. It not only makes copying and pasting text on Android much simpler, but it also saves several clippings at once and supports complete auto-deletion. Last year, Google updated its software to include clipboard recommendations, which eliminates the need to manually open copied content. Gboard now has a new scrolling bar along the top that makes pasting through Android even easier.

All of your latest choices now appear above the keyboard, scrollable from left to right, with this new update. It takes the place of the standard shortcuts bar, preventing you from having to manually access the clipboard menu to paste your text. It's a useful addition that can handle multiple links, passwords, and just about anything else you throw at it. Best of all, it appears to work whether or not you have clipboard history enabled in Gboard, so anyone can benefit from this new feature.

As is customary, Google is gradually rolling this out to users through a server-side update. It's a nice shortcut to be able to paste several entries at once without having to use the clipboard manager, so hopefully we'll see it more widely available soon. If you want to try to beat the crowd, make sure you have the most recent version of Gboard installed by visiting the Play Store link below or downloading the APK from APK Mirror.
