Microsoft Edge Useful Feature - Password Suggestions (Enable / Disable)

Image
Microsoft Edge includes a password generator that can assist you in creating passwords for your online accounts. Depending on whether you want to use it or not, you can switch this password generator on and off. You must have both the "Password Sync " and " Offer to save passwords " options available in Microsoft Edge to receive password suggestions. After that, you can enable the choice to suggest passwords. Here's how to do it: To allow Sync in Microsoft Edge, go to the top-right corner of the window and press your profile icon , then select " Turn on sync ." If you don't see this option, your account is already synced. Pick “ Settings ” from the Edge menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the browser. On the next page, on the left, click " Profiles ," and then on the right, click " Passwords ." At the top, select the “ Offer to save passwords ” option. If it's already enabled, don't change anything. Select the ...

Take Screenshot in Incognito mode in Chrome

Image
For privacy purposes, Google Chrome does not allow users to take screenshots in incognito mode on Android smartphones. However, if you want to delete this restriction from the browser, it is simple to do so. You will need to use flags to change Chrome Android's settings to enable screenshots for incognito tabs. IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that some of the flag menu's features, including this one, are experimental. This means that the feature may sometimes crash or stop working, but this has not been the case in my testing. 1. Open Google Chrome on your Android Smartphone 2. In the Chrome App, tap on the address bar and enter chrome://flags 3. In the search bar at the top of page, look for " Incognito Screenshot " 4. For the flag named " Incognito Screenshot ", click on the drop-down menu beneath it and select " Enabled " For the changes to take effect, you will need to relaunch Chrome App on your smartphone. Tap on " Relaunch " ...

Stay Safe while Browsing Internet

Image
In both our personal and professional lives, we use the internet. We use websites to look for new gadgets, research subjects, and keep up with the latest news. The Internet has become an integral part of our daily lives. Potential attackers aren't just looking for the big fish in the markets. They are indiscriminate, casting a large net in order to benefit from even small bits of information. Please bear in mind that even though you strictly follow the steps outlined below, potential attackers will still be able to gain access to your device. As a result, I highly advise using a good antivirus/malware program with real-time security to stop and/or delete any malicious software before it can cause havoc. REMEMBER : The secret to secure Internet browsing is to combine strong security with proper knowledge. SAFE WEBSITES STARTING WITH HTTPS:// ARE THE BEST TO USE Internet addresses that begin with https:// and have a padlock on the web browser send and receive data over the Inter...

Windows 10 - Factory Reset your PC through Command Prompt

Image
You can perform a factory reset if your Windows 10 PC is sluggish or behaving strangely, or if you simply want to sell it. Here's how to factory reset your device with Command Prompt. Open Command Prompt first. To do so, type "Command Prompt" into the Windows Search bar, then select the Command Prompt app from the list of results. Type: systemreset   - -factoryreset and press Enter..... The "Choose an Option" menu will appear after that. You can either retain your data by removing apps and settings, or you can delete anything. Note that simply removing files is faster, but it is also less secure. However, removing your data and wiping the drive will take a considerable amount of time (5-6 hours). Also keep in mind that removing the files and cleaning the drive makes it more difficult, though not impossible, for someone to recover those files. Next Screen will tell you that PC is ready to be reset. Click "Reset" to reset the device.

Cloning Hard Drive - PC or Mac

Image
You can clone your hard drive if you need to transfer your data or have a backup on hand. There are several excellent services for backing up your files, but there are times when you need something a little more secure. You might be migrating your Windows installation to a new drive, or you might just want a full one-to-one copy in case something goes wrong. In those cases, cloning your hard drive is the best option, since it creates an identical copy that you can swap in and boot up right away. Some backup services, such as IDrive and Acronis, provide disk-cloning capabilities in addition to regular file backups. However, in this guide, I will discuss some free tools designed specifically for drive cloning. Check out one of the paid solutions if you want a true backup solution with additional cloning functionality. However, for one-time copies (such as converting your OS to a new drive), these tools will suffice. Most of the time, your destination drive would need to be the same si...

Google is experimenting with side-scrolling clipboard suggestions in Gboard.

Image
One of Gboard's most useful features is its built-in clipboard manager. It not only makes copying and pasting text on Android much simpler, but it also saves several clippings at once and supports complete auto-deletion. Last year, Google updated its software to include clipboard recommendations, which eliminates the need to manually open copied content. Gboard now has a new scrolling bar along the top that makes pasting through Android even easier. All of your latest choices now appear above the keyboard, scrollable from left to right, with this new update. It takes the place of the standard shortcuts bar, preventing you from having to manually access the clipboard menu to paste your text. It's a useful addition that can handle multiple links, passwords, and just about anything else you throw at it. Best of all, it appears to work whether or not you have clipboard history enabled in Gboard, so anyone can benefit from this new feature.   As is customary, Google is gradually ro...

The Apple Event was unable to prevent the company's stock from plummeting

Image
Today's Apple event, which featured a slew of new products that will help determine if the business meets, reaches, or falls short of Wall Street's expectations for future growth and success, had, unfortunately, little to no effect on the company's stock price. Everytime, time Apple introduces a new product, service, software, or peripheral, its stock price remains unchanged. It's almost comical; sure, Apple's stock will change after an earnings report, but a new product digest? Not at all. It's almost as if Apple's buyers and the press are enthralled with what the company creates. And they're outspoken about it. Investors, on the other hand, are practically at lunch the whole time. Apple shares, for example, dropped 1.28 percent today and have since dropped another 0.36 percent. Apple stock ended the day at $133.11 per share, up from $133.40 at the start of the event. As a result, the incident did not keep the company from losing any more ground. Here  ...

Google Chrome - Some new features that you might enjoy

Image
Google is continuously updating the Chrome browser, and new features appear all the time, sometimes without notice. Some of the most recent features have the potential to save you a lot of time and make your web adventures even more enjoyable, but unless you're a detail-obsessed tech-savy who keeps track of activities related to Information Technology, it's almost impossible to know when something fresh and worthwhile worms its way in. Anyway here are the features to look at: Link to Text Fragment You can use this feature to create a custom link to any section of text on a web page. You can then send the link to someone and they will be directed to the exact section of text you want them to see, rather than the whole page. For example, you can highlight text on any web page and then right-click to find a nifty new option for creating a connection to a specific section of text within a web page and then sending it to someone else. You can get more details here    Android...

Windows 10 - Useful Commands for Network Troubleshooting

Image
Since we live and work in a constantly connected world, the consistency and efficiency of your network link is critical to almost all you do on your computer or mobile device. Maintaining a good network link and troubleshooting a bad connection are fundamental skills that everyone should have at least a clear understanding of. There are a few simple network commands that Microsoft Windows 10 users should learn and be prepared to use when the need arises. Although some of these commands have GUI equivalents in Windows 10, the command line structure is more effective and powerful in many cases. Using the Windows Key + R keyboard combination to open the Run dialog box in Windows 10 is the fastest way to get to the command prompt. To open the command prompt, type "cmd" and press Enter. Ping Ping is perhaps the most well-known and often used of all the network commands in Windows 10. You may use the Ping command to see if a computer is reachable on a network. Pinging a host can ...

Are Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and iCloud safe to use?

Image
Cloud computing has risen to become one of the most powerful forces in business IT in recent years. Its significance has only grown in the last year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in an increase in workers working outside of typical office hours. As a result, we've become more reliant than ever on cloud-based services, using them to store both work and personal data. The protection of these sites has, understandably, become a major concern. Traditional cyber security strategies focused on suddenly obsolete office-based working models are insufficient to secure our scattered workforces, and hacking and ransomware attacks have increased since the pandemic. According to a study released in October, ransomware attacks in the UK increased by 80% throughout the pandemic, as hackers exploited new vulnerabilities generated by widespread remote working. The consistency and security features of various cloud platforms and services would certainly be top of mind for IT ...

You should always take online security seriously if you access the internet at home, at work, or at school. Even if you are aware of the dangers, it is very likely to fall prey to scams, viruses, trojan horses, malware, adware, and a variety of other issues. Following a few simple rules will keep you safe when you're online. This Article will walk you through the key areas of risk and how to strengthen your personal cybersecurity anytime and wherever you use the internet. MicroSoft Edge - For Android Users

Image
Microsoft has a surprising new offering for Android users searching for a different web browser. Although it may come as a surprise to some that Microsoft has taken so long to release an Android version of Edge, the fact that it was released so quickly and without fanfare is perhaps even more remarkable. But that is exactly what has occurred. A demo version of Microsoft Edge has appeared in Google Play out of nowhere, offering Android users a new way to browse the site. Edge Canary, which is based on the Chromium engine, is currently available for testing. The launch of the Android version is fantastic news for anyone who has spent time and effort transitioning from Internet Explorer or legacy Edge to the Chromium-based version of Edge in Windows 10, as it allows them to stay in the ecosystem while switching to web. The browser works largely as expected, and you can synchronize your browsing data between devices. This means you can start surfing the web on your computer and pick up ...

About macOS Big Sur

Image
Era of the Mac Operating System (Mac OS X and MacOS 10) is now over, as Apple has released macOS Big Sur, which has a completely new look and is such a significant upgrade that Apple has bumped the version number to 11. With macOS Big Sur, Apple released the most significant design update to macOS since the release of Mac OS X, overhauling anything from the curvature of window corners to the colors and dock icon designs. The new look is meant to feel both new and familiar at the same time. Let's take a look at some of the latest features in macOS Big Sur.... With Big Sur, Apple sticks to its User Interface philosophy, but graphical elements have been refined to give the device a more modern appearance. Surfing the Web Anonymously

Image
Surfing the web anonymously...? The Internet has a way of fooling you into thinking you're anonymous. After all, how can someone in a virtual world know your true identity? Simply connecting to the Internet allows you to exchange information about your device, your geographic location, and even the Web pages you visit. The aim of anonymous Web browsing is to avoid being tracked online by technology that could potentially reveal your personal details to others. No one knows who you are, where you're interacting from, or what places you're visiting when you surf anonymously.   When people think of anonymous Web browsing, they immediately think of extramarital affairs, malicious hacking, illicit downloading, and other nefarious activities. That is not always the case. There are a variety of valid reasons why someone may want to remain anonymous online. Any of them may include:   You feel that the Internet is the ideal platform for openly expressing your views without fear ...
